The government needs to be accountable and transparent.
Accountability and transparency should be a requirement for each agency, the administration as well as the council.

Accountabilty requires good information. Unfortunately, the District has not always done a good job of collecting data on how our city services are performing. This must change. Council and the Mayor can lead this cultural shift by investing in data infrastructure and demanding better data when making budgeting decisions each year. OCP should ensure that contracts are awarded based on performance, not politics.
