Have a "One City Summit" that brings a wide range of DC residents together every single year.
This seems like a great way to start bridging the divides and generate public policies that reflect the public's priorities. The city should institutionalize this process and make it a regular event, putting one on every year or maybe every other year (no matter who the mayor is).

Maybe we should see if there are positive outcomes for citizens before committing to $500,000.00 + this event is estimated to cost before having one every year.

Truly Bridging the divides in the District of Columbia, would put in action this quote by MLK, where 30% ot our children are living in poverty.
“I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality and freedom for their spirits.”
