Give "No Soliciting" on the door the deterrent power of "Do Not Call" city-wide
My aging mom lost $12,000 to a "landscaper" who came to her door and convinced her that she needed to fix a few concrete cracks on her front walk. Aging residents citywide are at risk. Pass a law that imposes a severe financial penalty for opportunists who violate a posted "No Soliciting" sign, just as the "Do Not Call" registry protects citizens from unwanted telephone solicitations.

In Jersy City, NJ, people can post a no junk mail sign on their front door, saves a lot of trees, and garbage.
