An error occurred while saving the comment In Town Brown commentedI agree, DC residents should be able to park anywhere in the District without being ticketed or having to pay a meter. I went downtown one night and parked my car, it was 8:50 p.m. and I got a ticket and 9:05 p.m. and this is in the same zone that I live in.

An error occurred while saving the comment In Town Brown commentedReduce traffic, If there is no bike lane, traffic is slowed doing rush hour. Create more bike lanes, instead of having bikers going in and out of traffic, causing accidents. Also bikers need to stick to the traffic rules.

An error occurred while saving the comment In Town Brown commentedI did get an affordable house, and I have been living in DC all my life. I was in an affordable program with homestead, which kept my property taxes affordable, now my property taxes a quarter has gone up. my escrow payment was affordable 63.00 a month, which is tacked on to my mortgage, now it is $312.00 a month and that is attached to my mortgage. my mortgage was 891.00 a month now it has gone up to $1,141.08, some of you may think that is nothing, compared to what you pay, but I make less than $45,000 dollars a year, I called the Real Property Appraiser, and she suggested that I sell my house or refinance. I have exhausted all of my savings to pay my mortgage. Help us to get affordable housing, and help us to keep our houses with affordable taxes without having to move out of DC.

An error occurred while saving the comment In Town Brown commentedWhy not, we have to pay tolls to travel to other states, Md and Va. People in Md and Va, take up all the parking spaces, they get up at 5:00 am to do this, and then they move their cars every 2 hours in the same zone. I live, work, play and worship in DC, and I get my share of tickets every time I drive my car. I live in zone 2 and work in zone 2, I can never find a parking space. If I move my car to go out at night, when I come back home I don't have a parking space. If I move my car on Rhode Island Ave, where there is parking spaces left, in the morning I get a ticket and then towed. Yes, ticketing in DC is killing the folks that live in DC also, we need a break.

Yes I agree in the school areas, but not in front of residential housing. I have a trash can in front of my house, which use to be for the bus stop. Metro have removed the bus stop, but the trash can is still there. Now people are illegally putting there house trash in the bin. So now trash is overflowing in front of my house. It is an eye sore to the City and especially to my house.
